Digital transformation is about using technology in new and innovative ways to do far more than go paperless; it’s about using technology to enable completely new business strategies and maximise the power of data, people and processes. Technologies like the internet of things, cloud, analytics and artificial intelligence can turn data into powerful insights that inform all aspects of business. These technologies also enable companies to innovate in their approach to serving employees, customers, and the market.

However, if companies aren’t careful, the rapid pace of changes in technology can be an inhibitor as much as an enabler, because human nature makes employees likely to resist change. Consequently, company leaders must properly assess the legitimacy of new technology, and then educate themselves and their teams so they can make conscious shifts in the way their businesses implement it.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to digital transformation, so DXC Technology seeks to understand individual customers’ business needs and goals before highlighting possible opportunities. The breadth and depth of our offerings make it easy for customers to successfully reimagine their business and meet, and exceed, their desired business outcomes.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella summed it up nicely, saying, companies that are succeeding at digital transformation are doing four things: becoming more engaged with their customers, empowering their employees, optimising how they run their business operations, and transforming the products and services they offer using digital content.
