UK supermarket chain Morrisons has implemented Blue Yonder’s artificial intelligence (AI) powered solution to accurately predict customer demand, order the right level of stock and reduce waste.
This solution replaces Morrisons’ traditional manual model of stock replenishment which was time consuming and inaccurate, leading to waste and high out-of-stock rates.
The Blue Yonder Demand Forecast & Replenishment solution has enabled Morrisons to reduce shelf gaps in its stores by 30% and a and record a two- to three-day decrease in stockholding in-store.
The solution is built upon Microsoft Azure, as the primary cloud and data platform which enables Blue Yonder’s customers to use AI to optimise existing processes and increase sales opportunities.
Blue Yonder is joining Microsoft at the NRF 2018: Retail’s Big Show on 14-16 January 2018 at the Javits Center in New York to showcase its solution.
