Ateme will be exhibiting products that use the metaverse and 5G at MWC Barcelona, from 27 February to 2 March 2023. The video compression firm will show how its solutions can improve network monetisation and deliver high-quality experiences for broadcasters and communication service providers.
Located at booth 5G-18, Ateme will demonstrate its world-first solution for delivering target advertising in low latency. The solution, which is based on a 5G Mobile-access Edge Computing platform, combines both video compression and delivery technology. It enables broadcasters to easily monetise sports events.
Ateme will also showcase a metaverse virtual lounge experience that enables people to watch live events together in a virtual space in low latency, on any screen. It will also exhibit a solution that enables broadcasters to stream content with low latency to televisions and mobile phones using 5G and g hybrid multicast and unicast delivery.
“The video industry is on the brink of a new revolution,” said Williams Tovar, director of 5G media streaming solutions at Ateme. “The next challenge will be to beat the competition for attention coming from gaming and social media. We are excited to be showcasing how we are using 5G and the metaverse to help the industry meet this new challenge, while also making streaming more efficient – so that ultimately, service and content providers can increase profitability.”
