Next month, BNP Paribas will kick off the first leg of its International Hackathon.
Set to take place in 10 cities worldwide over three days, the start-up competition aims to bring together some of the most innovative minds to help reinvent the banking customer experience.
Events will take place in San Francisco, Paris, Brussels, Luxembourg, Rome, Berlin, Warsaw, Istanbul, Singapore and Nanjing from 9 June.
Teams will work on real-life challenges, using the latest in technology to solve key issues in retail banking, personal finance, private banking, corporate and investment banking, insurance, leasing and wealth management.
On 11 June, in San Francisco, Daragh Morrissey, worldwide director for Blockchain within the Microsoft Financial Services team, will be a member of the jury alongside executives from local organiser Bank of the West to help choose two winning start-ups.
Successful candidates will secure a place in stage two –the co-working phase – where they’ll have access to experts and mentors from BNP Paribas to help build their solution. Chosen teams will then go on to a Demo Day in Paris where they will have a chance to show off their solution to BNP Paribas executives and fintech experts, who will choose their final winners.
There’s still time to apply for the competition. Find out more on the BNP Paribas Hackathon official website.
