US-based canned soup producer Campbell Soup has partnered with Microsoft to modernise its IT platform by using Microsoft Azure to streamline workflows and drive efficiencies.

Migrating to Microsoft Azure will provide Campbell with a faster and more responsive IT infrastructure. The global, hybrid cloud solution will deliver new capabilities and provide near-real-time access to information and insights that will inform Campbell’s business decisions. Microsoft Azure will simplify operations and provide flexibility for Campbell employees through customised reporting and analytics.

“Campbell’s migration to Microsoft Azure will increase our flexibility, agility and resiliency,” said Francisco Fraga, CIO, Campbell Soup. “Microsoft Azure will give us the ability to respond quickly to evolving business needs, introduce new solutions, and support our 24/7, always-on architecture. The Microsoft cloud is a proven, reliable and highly secure platform.”

The cloud solution will also enable the enterprise to increase security, compliance and information protection, as well as to redesign its data warehousing capabilities to support its data and analytic needs.

“We are honoured that Campbell chose to modernise its IT platforms and evolve its digital strategies with Microsoft Azure,” said Judson Althoff, executive vice president of Worldwide Commercial Business at Microsoft. “We are looking forward to working with Campbell as it transitions to the cloud, helping them optimise operations, extract insights from data and advance their business.”
