Gitex Global will focus on how Web 3.0, the metaverse and technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) will drive the future of business at its 42nd conference, which will take place on 10-14 October 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, United Arab Emirates.
The event will see seven digital communities come together, including big technology companies such as Microsoft, start-ups, over 230 governmental entities, investors, coders and developers, academia and young people.
For the first time this year, the conference will welcome head executives from global corporations on the main stage, where they will talk about transformative trends and business priorities for digitisation. Topics will include future mobility, cybersecurity, digital cities, AI, telecommunications, healthcare, the data economy, Web 3.0, education, energy, coding, start-ups, financial services, blockchain, and marketing technology.
The event will also launch Global DevSlam, an interactive programme that will feature delegates from Anaconda, AWS, Instagram, Microsoft, and more. The scheme will connect coders to innovative projects, youth workshops and career opportunities through the DevSlam Talent portal.
Another highlight of Gitex will be X-Verse, which will encourage attendees to interact with Web 3.0 and metaverse economy. The panel will showcase 25 global applications of metaverse, covering manufacturing, gaming, education, healthcare, retail and the future of work.
