More than 4,000 companies from across the engineering, energy and digital sectors will come together to learn about the latest industrial technology at Hannover Messe 2024.

Under the theme of ‘Energising a Sustainable Industry’, the event will cover how firms can efficiently use automation, artificial intelligence and renewable energies to become more competitive while protecting the climate. Technology experts will host talks in dedicated exhibition areas, including the ‘Future Hub’, ‘Engineered Parts & Solutions’, ‘Automation, Motion & Drives’, ‘Energy Solutions’ and ‘Digital Ecosystems’.

Ursula Von Der Leyen, president of the European Commission, will give the opening speech on 21 April and representatives from the European Union will discuss how firms can become more sustainable during the event.

Approximately 500 companies from the hydrogen and fuel cell industry will attend the event with the aim of helping manufacturing and transportation firms with their decarbonisation strategies. Microsoft and its partners, such as Schneider Electric and Siemens, will also exhibit.

Other sessions at Hannover Messe will address the shortage of skilled workers in the manufacturing industry through its ‘Your Future’ young talent initiative where graduates can meet with potential employers and learn about trainee programmes.

There are up to 1,500 complimentary tickets available for Technology Record readers. Register and claim yours on the Hannover Messe website.
