A new book by New Signature founder Dan Scarfe explores how the cloud operating model (COM) can improve collaboration and communication in a business infrastructure.
The book, which is titled: ‘Thinking of... Building a Microsoft Cloud Operating Model: Ask the Smart Questions’ is aimed at those wanting to change the way IT and cloud services are consumed and delivered in a business, to facilitate more collaboration and communication.
New Signature, a cloud-first, full service Microsoft partner, draws on its experience of working with clients including The Metropolitan Police and The Met Office. The first volume of the book is written in a non-technical form, directed at business leaders concerned with shaping an organisation. The second volume is aimed at technology managers responsible for how technology is implemented throughout the business.
“Technology has bounced up the agenda in every business. With the rate of technological innovation and the pervasive use of cloud computing, it is a juggling act to ‘not get left behind’ never mind ‘get ahead’,” said Scarfe. “This book describes a model for how a business will combine technology (the legacy IT with the innovation of cloud computing), with the complexity of the ever-increasing reliance on technology.
“A measure of a successful company is how it is harnessing technology and how that is both an offensive and defensive strategy in a world that has a long list of established businesses going from glory to bust. We guarantee this book will be a useful tool to encourage better communication and collaboration for staff at all levels of an organisation, from top down to bottom up, to ensure that future technology decisions are made and implemented wisely for continued business success.”
The book, published by Smart Questions, is available digitally and in print format for £16.99 from Amazon and $26.99 from Barnes & Noble.
