Over 43,000 broadcasters, content owners, rights holders and service providers will attend this year’s International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) on 13-16 September at the RAI, Amsterdam, to collaborate and learn about new opportunities in the media and entertainment industry.

The event aims to “empower attendees to explore new trends, discover opportunities, build knowledge, lead innovation and play an active role in the technological transformation and fundamental market changes sweeping the industry worldwide,” according to the IBC website.

IBC will cover six key themes across conference sessions including artificial intelligence, advert technology, cloud technology, immersive technology, streaming and connected technology.

Confirmed conference speakers include representatives from BBC Studios, Britbox International, Channel 4, ITV, Orange, Paramount, Sky and Virgin Media, who will cover topics such as ‘How is AI reshaping the business of broadcast?’, ‘How can the industry fight fake news and disinformation?’ and ‘What are the winning monetisation strategies for streaming services?’.
