IT services provider Yorktel will showcase two of its new cloud-based solutions for Microsoft Teams at Microsoft Ignite. Among other benefits, the services will enable firms using disparate telecommications systems to easily connect to Teams meetings.
One of the solutions, The Microsoft Teams Gateway Service, is built on the Microsoft certified Pexip platform and enables firms using Teams to achieve a fully modern and integrated workplace environment. The service supports collaboration between any standards-based equipment such as Cisco, Polycom or via a web browser.
The other, called the Univago Teams Voice Service, allows organisations to use Teams cloud voice calling with their existing carrier session initiation protocol (SIP) trunk lines. This simplifies voice infrastructures, allowing organisations connect employees and boost productivity.
“Yorktel’s Microsoft Solutions Practice is able to provide a 100% Microsoft Azure-based voice solution that doesn’t require any on-premises equipment, hosting fees or costly third-party hardware,” said Ken Scaturro, president and chief operations officer at Yorktel. “We can quickly and economically enable Microsoft Teams Direct Routing utilising our clients’ existing SIP trunks, eliminating the hassle of transferring phone numbers or provisioning new lines. Our distributed architecture is implemented worldwide within Microsoft Azure data centres where it connects directly to Microsoft Teams servers.”
The two solutions are part of Yorktel’s Univago Cloud Services portfolio which has been developed to meet the needs of large and medium-size enterprise and government organisations which are looking to move to Microsoft Teams cloud voice calling. It eliminates the need to invest in additional hard or software.
“These two new services are another step in our commitment to providing solutions the market is demanding today,” said Scaturro. “As organisations all over the world continue their digital workplace transformations using the Microsoft ecosystem, we will continue to offer new consulting, integration, and managed services that address the changing digital workplace needs of our customers.”
