Jet Reports, the business intelligence and reporting technology provider, will release the first reporting solution built for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (previously Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Edition) in Spring this year.
Called Jet Reports Financials, the new solution will be launched in Microsoft AppSource and will respond to market demands for more accurate financial reporting. The solution will enable users to simply and easily create fast, flexible, custom financial statements inside Microsoft Excel.
“Microsoft has made a lot of product announcements and changes over the last 18 months,” said Sam McCurdy, vice president of development at Jet Reports. “We’ve been laser-focused on keeping our products compatible, up to date, and optimised to add the most value to the evolving Microsoft offering. With the release of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central product, we knew we had to make a significant effort to develop a solution that aligned specifically with that market. We expanded our development team to focus on building Jet Reports Financials for Dynamics 365 Business Central, and to help ensure we passed the rigorous requirements and testing by Microsoft. We realised that our existing product could serve as a base, but that maintaining the performance people demand would take more than trying to plug our existing solution into the new cloud offering. Business Central is built to favour integrated apps for adoptability and speed, and that’s exactly what we created with Jet Reports Financials.”
To improve the user experience, Jet Reports Financials will launch with a 30-day free trial that allows users to experience the app without commitment. Businesses will then be offered a low cost per user per month to continue, which aligns directly with the small and medium business Dynamics 365 Business Central market packaging and pricing.
Jet Reports will also provide a series of free tutorial videos to help users learn how to use the product, so they can begin building custom financial reports.
