Kyndryl has helped Creditis Financial Services, an intermediary specialising in providing consumer credit to private clients, accelerate its digital transformation journey by bringing its application development environment to Microsoft Azure.

Creditis, already a user of Microsoft cloud services, adopted the Kyndryl Power to Azure with Skytap solution to separate development and testing that was being provided by one of two systems hosted on Kyndryl’s data centres, allowing the firm to run its systems in the cloud easier and faster.

“Simplifying the migration of traditional workloads to the cloud enables benefits in terms of innovation and scalability, achieving better operational performance and cost optimisation,” said Matteo Taglioni, vice president of financial services and sector leader at Kyndryl Italy. “For a young but already established financial company like Creditis, this translates into the possibility of responding better, and faster, to customer needs.”

The project has laid the foundation for the migration of Creditis’ two remaining on-premises systems and has also provided the firm with benefits including flexibility, efficiency and modernisation.

“The adoption of the new service provided by Kyndryl allows high flexibility and agility in terms of scalability and operational ease,” said Mauro Ersini and Davide Izzo, chief information officer and chief technology officer of Creditis, respectively. “No less important are the high security systems that characterise the cloud service, confirming the very high attention that has long been given to cyber security. We believe, therefore, that this project represents a milestone in Creditis’ innovation process.”
