Threat Intelligence and Advanced Data Governance to help organisations avoid risk

Microsoft has bolstered the security and compliance capabilities of its Office 365 platform with the launch of Office 365 Threat Intelligence and Office 365 Advanced Data Governance.
Office 365 Threat Intelligence provides users with interactive tools to help analyse the prevalence and severity of the threats faced by their organisation. This is done in near real-time, as are the delivery of threat alert notifications.
The solution also features remediation capabilities for suspicious content, and an expanded management application programming interface to include threat details.
Office 365 Threat Intelligence also leverages the Microsoft Intelligent Security Graph. This analyses data from a vast range of points, including Microsoft data centres, Office clients, and the Windows and Azure ecosystems.
Threat Intelligence easily integrates with other Office 365 security features, while information about malware families and breach information is also provided.
Meanwhile, Office 365 Advanced Data Governance helps customers find and retain vital data, while also removing redundant data that could cause risk if compromised. This is done using machine learning.
The service provides proactive policy recommendations and automatic data classifications, allowing users to retain or delete data across the lifecycle.
Alerts are also generated when data governance risks are identified, while users can also create custom alerts to meet their own needs and concerns.
Both Office 365 Threat Intelligence and Office 365 Advanced Data Governance are now generally available.
