Microsoft has introduced new adapted artificial intelligence models in collaboration with select partners to help organisations better meet their specific industry needs.

The partner solutions leverage Microsoft’s Phi family of small language models and will be made available through the Azure AI model catalogue.

Models include healthcare and agriculture partner Bayer’s ELY Crop Protection, designed to enhance crop protection and sustainable use; automotive solution provider Cerence’s CaLLM Edge for intelligent in-car controls; industrial specialist Rockwell Automation’s FT Optix Food and Beverage model, designed for frontline workers; and manufacturing solution provider Sight Machine’s Factory Namespace Manager for analysis of factory data.

In addition, regulation technology provider Saifr is introducing four new models in the Azure AI model catalogue, focused on retail marketing compliance, image detection, risk interpretation and language suggestion.

Lastly, Siemens Digital Industries Software has developed a new copilot for its NX X software that will be available in the Azure Marketplace. The copilot is designed to streamline complex industrial design tasks.

“Underpinning these adapted AI models is the Microsoft Cloud, our platform for industry innovation,” said Satish Thomas, corporate vice president of business and industry solutions at Microsoft in an online blog post. “By integrating the Microsoft Cloud with our industry-specific capabilities and a robust ecosystem of partners, we provide a secure approach to advancing innovation across industries.”
