Women in technology need to lean into the power of networking and having advocates in the workplace to support career growth, according to Catherine Doyle, general manager of Microsoft Ireland.
Doyle joined Ruth McGuinness, head of data and AI at Kainos, and Jayne Brady, head of the Northern Ireland Civil Service, for a ‘Power Women in Leadership’ event hosted by Kainos, an information technology provider and Microsoft partner, to discuss what businesses can do to empower the next generation of female leaders and foster career growth.
“Events like this are essential for celebrating the achievements of women pioneers and showcasing role models who inspire more women to pursue leadership roles,” said Doyle. “We extend our gratitude to Kainos for supporting and celebrating the work of women in senior technology roles, driving meaningful change within our industry.”
The event also highlighted the critical role education plays in shaping future female leaders, the importance of aligning personal values with professional roles and the underrepresentation of women in engineering and business leadership roles.
