Microsoft has revealed a series of new AI agents for the automotive and mobility industry at CES 2025, taking place from 7-10 January in Las Vegas, USA.
For example, the new Azure Innovation Accelerator AI agent aims to reduce time-to-value for design and engineering departments and can be used as a collaboration platform to allow different teams to develop automated driving platforms and advanced driver-assistance systems.
To further support the design and development of software-defined vehicles (SDVs), three additional new AI agents have been released. The SDV reference architecture enables cloud-native software development that leverages Microsoft’s developer-centric tooling; the Digital Cockpit reference architecture integrates AI services to enhance customer in-vehicle experiences; and Autonomous Vehicle Operations provides a digital testbed for autonomous driving development to create an efficient environment for performance and safety testing.
Lastly, there are new agents designed for improving customer experience. The Mobility Agents reference architecture allows organisations to deploy agents that can seamlessly integrate into user experiences to enhance customer and employee interactions. Meanwhile, the Connected Mobility reference architecture provides access to vehicle and asset data by generating analytics and actionable insights regarding vehicle operations and efficiency.
Microsoft has also launched its first agent for mobility in the aviation industry. The AI for Airlines and Airports reference architecture is designed to enhance critical areas of airlines and airports, such as passenger experience and operational efficiency, to create an enjoyable journey for passengers and crew members.
