Microsoft has shared a range of updates to its Azure for Operators portfolio at MWC Barcelona that will help organisations to unlock new opportunities in the cloud and with artificial intelligence.
First, Microsoft revealed the public preview of Azure Operator Call Protection, a new service that uses AI to help protect consumers from scam calls. The service uses real-time analysis of voice content and alerts customers when there is suspicious in-call activity. BT Group is currently trialling the solution.
Microsoft also announced the limited preview of Copilot in Azure Operator Insights, which provides generative AI capabilities to the platform to help engineers interact with network insights to gain a better understanding of data. It aims to resolve network issues quicker and improve customer satisfaction.
There are also new deployment options for the Azure Operator Nexus platform that provide operators with the flexibility to use one single-grade platform to deliver innovative solutions on near-edge, far-edge and enterprise edge.
