Microsoft will equip one million people in Poland with AI skills by the end of 2025, as part of its investment in the development of the Polish Digital Valley.
Free AI training will be available on the Microsoft AI Skills Navigator educational platform, which provides over 200 courses from LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft Learn, GitHub and partners in one place.
“People need the right skills to reap the benefits of AI,” said Brad Smith, vice president and president of Microsoft. “This new investment in AI skills will help people in Poland fully leverage the potential of this groundbreaking technology across a variety of sectors of the economy.”
Over half (53 per cent) of business leaders in Poland would no longer hire someone without AI skills, according to the Microsoft Work Trend Index, and 55 per cent would rather hire a less experienced candidate with AI skills than a more experienced person without them.
“Poland is one of our key markets for developing AI knowledge,” said Lukasz Foks, director of the AI Skills Initiative at Microsoft. “AI skills cover a wide spectrum: from quickly searching for information on the Internet, collecting data, creating a CV in Word using the suggested document structure, looking for explanations of formulas in Excel, summarizing meetings in Teams, to developers writing application code using GitHub Copilot or using Azure OpenAI to create advanced and custom AI applications. Today we are launching the Polish version of AI Skills Navigator, a place where a wide range of AI training is available.”
