At this year’s NAB Show Forbidden Technologies announced the launch of a new version of its Microsoft Azure-based video editor Blackbird, with the aim of delivering faster cloud performance for its customers.
Organisations can deploy the latest version on Azure in less than five minutes to quickly and accurately view, clip, edit and publish live and non-live video content in the cloud. The new version is available to anyone with a browser, anywhere in the world, even with very low bandwidth.
“Video workflows are moving rapidly to the cloud across sectors such as sports, e-sports, news, education and entertainment,” said Sudheer Sirivara, general manager of Azure Media at Microsoft. “This latest version of Blackbird further enhances organisations’ ability to rapidly create, manage and distribute video content, while massively reducing production costs and enhancing team collaboration.”
The updated version of Blackbird follows from the firm’s recent achievement of Microsoft Co-Sell Ready status, which is enabling a closer partnership between the two organisations.
Blackbird already has a growing number of users on Microsoft Azure, including digital and broadcast services supplier Deltatre and law exam preparation firm Barbri.
