Microsoft has introduced new features to Microsoft 365 Copilot, allowing employees to build apps, automate tasks and create custom agents using simple natural language.
App Builder helps users create and deploy apps within minutes, without coding or a database setup needed. With it, users can design dashboards, charts, calculators, lists and other interactive tools, all based on content from Microsoft 365 apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
The new Workflow Agent automates everyday tasks like sending emails and reminders, managing calendars and sharing team updates. By typing a simple request, users can create automated processes that run across Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Planner and services like Approvals.
Workflows is now available in the Agent Store for customers in Microsoft’s Frontier programme, and App Builder will launch later this week.
“Using these agents and Copilot Studio, Copilot now enables employees to turn ideas into impact by creating apps, workflows and agents – just as easily as having a conversation,” said Charles Lamanna, president of business and industry copilot at Microsoft. “Describe what you need in natural language, and Copilot helps you build it. And because the outputs are integrated with your Copilot experience, they’re secure, governed, and connected to your Microsoft 365 data.”
