Ticketing as a Service platform provider PayiQ has acquired Finnish software developer Evenman, which offers the Eventmore platform for event organisers.
The acquisition allows PayiQ to combine its Microsoft Azure-based mobile ticketing and payment service with Evenman’s Eventmore platform so customers can access information about events and purchase both event and travel tickets via one mobile app. The app is already available in several app stores.
“Purchasing the business operation of Evenman was a natural continuum in developing our own business as the provider of more versatile and comprehensive mobile service platform,” said Tuomo Parjanen, PayiQ’s CEO. “We have cooperated with the developers of Eventmore earlier and were very happy with the results. By integrating our own Ticketing as a Service platform to Eventmore’s platform we can offer our customers even better service. Customers get everything from one app: event information and the possibility to buy tickets and pay for other event related products and services.”
The Eventmore platform is designed for event organisers, cities and tourist resorts and has modifiable event applications and a versatile administration portal. The app enables event organisers to provide members of the public with information about event agendas, timetables and transport services.
“This is a great climax to the cooperation between Evenman and PayiQ,” said Max Druey, founder and chairman of the board at Evenman. “With this deal, the Eventmore platform can offer more comprehensive services to event organisers and their audiences. In addition, the integration of Eventmore and PayiQ platforms brings forth new interesting possibilities, for example to cities and other public communities to combine event and transport services and improve customer experience.”
