PayiQ has launched its second branded application in Russia, in the Chuvash Republic. Passengers can now use the operator’s own mobile app ETK-FPS to top up transport cards.
The app is based on PayiQ’s ticketing-as-a-service and was delivered in partnership with Get Fare, ATOL Online and Gazprombank, who also helped launch PayiQ’s first app in the country. It uses the Bank of Russia’s Faster Payments System to enable individuals to make transfers instantly.
Users of the ETK-FPS mobile app can top up of cards with different tariff plans, view top up history and check card balances.
“PayiQ is rapidly developing its service in the regions of Russia, thanks to the active support of the Faster Payments System,” said Elena Lipchenko, regional director of PayiQ in Russia. “Earlier in the Chuvash Republic, within the framework of the operator’s own application, there was no function to replenish a transport card. We are pleased to offer this service to passengers of public transport together with our partners for this project.”
