Software firm Pexip has added Polycom’s smart conferencing solution Polycom Trio to its cloud videoconferencing service Videxio. Customers of Pexip and Plantronics can use the software to join meetings with Skype for Business users and others in a single tap.
According to Polycom, the Trio is “the smartphone for your modern conference room needs.” Used by over 57% of Fortune 100 companies, it is highly rated for its high audio and video quality.
“We are delighted that this cooperation lets us provide a high-quality video experience for our mutual customers,” said Nia Celestin, senior product marketing manager of Cloud at Plantronics. “With the certification of Polycom Trio for the Videxio service, customers can extend their Videxio meetings into the conference room with confidence that the solution is supported by both companies.”
Users can make point-to-point calls to SIP, H.323 and Skype for Business addresses through Polycom Trio and its registration leverages the Videxio service’s global video network to ensure quality and low latency calls worldwide.
“With this cooperation, customers can access Pexip’s reliable and easy-to-use Videxio cloud video service, and Plantronics powerful group video solutions, now including the highly popular Trio series,” said Tom-Erik Lia, CCO at Pexip. “We view this as a win for both sets of customers.”
