Logistics solutions provider Raymond West is using RealWear smart glasses and Microsoft Power Apps to reduce customer support response times.

Raymond West has integrated Power Apps with RealWear Navigator 520 so it can resolve customer issues faster by providing on-site technicians with instant access to resources and workflows in Microsoft SharePoint and internal communication channels including Microsoft Teams.

The RealWear Navigator 520 provides clear and detailed visuals and helps technicians to troubleshoot complex scenarios where precise information and instructions are needed to resolve the problem.

“In an industry where automation, conveyor, advanced control systems and other technologies are paving the way of the future, Raymond West is capitalising on augmented reality as a new dynamic solution for our customers and technicians, thanks in large part to Realwear and Microsoft Power Apps,” said Adan Wyand, training development and technology manager at Raymond West. “With our business ventures spanning across the US, Raymond West is primed to integrate augmented reality even further into our business model as we strive to better serve our customers like Amazon, PayPal and Home Depot.”

Teams has been available on RealWear since 2020 but Power Apps has only been available on RealWear devices and the RealWear marketplace since June 2024.

“We are thrilled to expand our collaboration with Microsoft, utilising Power Apps to create innovative and efficient solutions for frontline workers,” said Rama Oruganti, chief product officer at RealWear, in a Microsoft blog post titled ‘Through the looking glass: Power Apps and RealWear’. “Integrating our hands-free, voice-controlled, industrial smart glasses with Microsoft’s Power Platform enhances productivity and safety for our users. This integration also ensures real-time data transfer and retrieval from the Microsoft Dataverse, further improving operational efficiency. This partnership reflects our dedication to advancing technology that supports the evolving needs of frontline professionals.”
