Businesses are always seeking best-in-class processes to deliver results, streamline efficiency, and reduce costs effectively. New Era Technology helps organisations to identify and implement intelligent business applications to achieve these goals. This often involves the implementation of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, as the foundation of a digital transformation programme.
“ERP capabilities within the Dynamics 365 portfolio include Finance and Supply Chain Management, as well as Business Central solutions,” explains Robert Syversen, the Dynamics practice lead at New Era. “We offer assessments to help our clients understand what their specific business needs are, then we provide a pros and cons list for each solution.
“Rather than say to our clients, ‘this is the right product for you’, we share key factors decision-makers must consider, such as cost, implementation time and functionality. We provide all the information to allow the organisation to make an informed decision on which solution is right for them, which leads to a better experience.”
New Era is increasingly seeing the opportunity for its customers to leverage artificial intelligence capabilities within ERP solutions. In supply chain management, for example, AI can be very effective for planning and optimisation purposes.
“We’re at the forefront of a tool called Planning Optimization, which really focuses on demand planning and uses AI and Microsoft Copilot to help direct demand planning functionality,” says Syversen.
It’s an area where New Era has a significant expertise and can deliver quick results. “We have a strong team with several different architects working on the supply chain side, doing a lot with the warehouse management functionality, which is one of Microsoft’s main investment areas,” says Syversen. “We have the supply chain knowledge and the technical understanding of AI to be able to advance very quickly.”
Such expertise is present across all disciplines at New Era, with the business having completed digital transformation work for organisations of all sizes, including Fortune 100 companies. “The breadth of our skillset enables us to offer our clients the full range of Microsoft solutions,” says Syversen. “In fact, we’re in a very unique position of being one of very few resellers to have held all six major certifications from Microsoft at one time – we provide basically everything in the Microsoft arena except Xbox, which we are yet to find a business app for!”
