More than 2,200 executives from established retailers and brands, start-ups, technology companies, investors, media and analysts will attend Shoptalk Europe in Copenhagen, Denmark from 8-11 October.
Set to attract attendees from over 50 countries, Shoptalk Europe is a new pan-European retail and e-commerce event that follows the launch of Shoptalk US two year ago. Discussions will centre on the shopping experiences of the future, the digitisation of physical retail stories, on-demand delivery and logistics, shifting e-commerce trends, analytics, consumer behaviour and expectations, and global and cross-border commerce. The conference programme includes 15 insightful tracks and 100 curated sessions, while more than 200 companies will exhibit their products and solutions at the event.
Attendees will hear from more than 225 expert speakers representing a broad cross-section of countries and companies are to present at Shoptalk Europe. Spanning more than 20 countries in Europe, North and South America, and Asia, the speakers represent large retailers that have more than US$570 billion in combined annual sales. They also hail from start-ups that have collectively raised more than US$2.5 billion in funding, and venture investors with more than US$15 billion in capital. A full list can be found here.
Shoptalk Europe will also include formal networking programs – including the Hosted Retailers & Brands Program and the Retailers & Brands Networking Dinners – which will collectively facilitate upwards of 3,000 curated onsite meetings.
“We have created an exceptional and unique forum for the European retail and ecommerce ecosystem to interact in a meaningful way,” said Anil Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Shoptalk, parent of Shoptalk Europe. “An unparalleled group of senior-level executives from a wide range of industry verticals, stages and sectors are confirmed to attend, and we’re confident that the content, dialogue and networking will help shape the future of retail and ecommerce.”
Shoptalk will combine both its European and US events to create a global event for retail and e-commerce innovation, which will be held on 18-21 March 2018 at the Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada, US.
“In 2017, we focused on developing the blueprints for the future of retail and e-commerce for the US and Europe,” said Aggarwal. “We’re now in the enviable and unique position to create a single global conversation and community. We are excited to bring these initiatives together in 2018 and provide the worldwide retail and ecommerce ecosystem with the unprecedented opportunity to gain a global understanding of retail and ecommerce innovation, as well as to join an entirely new global community of innovators.”
