Indonesian property developer Sinar Mas Land is working with Microsoft to integrate its city guide chatbot with Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and Azure Cognitive Search.
The chatbot – known as Tanya – is accessible via Sinar Mas Land’s OneSmile application, which is designed to support residents in BSD City, Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. OneSmile will use Microsoft’s artificial intelligence capabilities to analyse user requirements and recommend various commercial spots within the city such as restaurants, cafes, hospitals and shops through natural language processing.
“We are happy to continue our long-term collaboration with Sinar Mas Land – this time by powering OneSmile with Azure OpenAI Service and Azure Cognitive Search,” said Fiki Setiyono, Azure business group lead at Microsoft Indonesia, on the partnership that began in 2019 to establish BSD City as a smart city. “BSD City is truly a township that is growing rapidly. The use of AI in the OneSmile application is expected to make it easier for users to get information that suits their needs.”
The solution will also help businesses in BSD City to reach a wider audience.
“More than 10,000 people have downloaded OneSmile,” said Mulyawan Gani, chief transformation officer at Sinar Mas Land. “For merchants who have joined as OneSmile business partners, they are expected to update and detail out their information in the safe tenant data ecosystem, so that their business can be recommended to users. Merchants who actively update their data will have a greater opportunity to increase their revenue. The implementation of this latest feature is also one of our efforts in transforming BSD City as an integrated smart digital city.”
