Indian media company chooses Microsoft cloud services for performance and security

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL), a media firm based in India, has chosen Microsoft Azure for the global rollout of its digital entertainment platform, ZEE5.
ZEE5 went live in over 190 markets worldwide in October, offering audiences over 100,000 hours of on-demand content and live television, with news and entertainment in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu and Marathi.

Microsoft said that ZEE5 uses a fully-managed Azure platform to perform infrastructure maintenance and load balancing. Azure has also helped ZEE5 to accelerate containerised application development within rigid stipulated timelines.
