Alongside the portfolio of Axis cameras, the integration of body-worn cameras makes it possible to collect video and audio evidence from security guards and law enforcement officers. The system consists of a robust body-worn camera and dual microphones, a system controller for intermediate storage and management of recorded material, and a docking station for data offloading and charging. The system controller is connected to the software server, making it possible to view and analyse video recordings from the body-worn cameras. Sharp recently showcased the collaborative capabilities of the world’s first certified Windows collaboration display to audiences across the UK, Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and the US at a Microsoft Teams Live event. Sharp and Microsoft gave presentations on working in the new normal and post-Covid-19 world, examining how businesses should adapt as employees return to the workplace. Environmental psychologist Nigel Oseland also presented on how businesses can effectively return from remote working to a new normal office environment. Mastercard Labs – the organisation’s R&D arm – will use Microsoft Azure and artificial intelligence solutions to drive its own cloud research, which Microsoft says will “advance Mastercard Labs’ mission to de-risk and commercialise emerging technologies and platforms for digital commerce”. Mastercard’s Start Path programme has helped over 230 fintechs access financial services, and the company’s collaboration with Microsoft aims to expand on this, “helping diversify and build new businesses, and create and scale new cloud-first digital products and services”, according to Microsoft.
