30 www. t e c h n o l o g y r e c o r d . c om BlueJeans by Verizon has launched new features to BlueJeans Gateway for Microsoft Teams, including support for Teams Live Events so that organisations can use existing standards-based room systems to join Teams Events, as well as interactive voice response support for Japanese, German, Italian, Spanish, and French, based on IP location of the call. Additional updates include support for Microsoft’s Together, which shows all participants together on a virtual background to replicate the feeling of being in the same space, as well as 7x7 Gallery View so that more participants are visible. Microsoft partner Synergy Technical has created a new Transformation Accelerator Workshop, available to all Microsoft customers. The interactive virtual workshop helps users to analyse business challenges and learn how Microsoft 365 solutions allow them to adapt and respond quickly to their changing business landscape. The outcome of this workshop is a customised, actionable roadmap unique to each organisation. “Customers all over the world need to accelerate their digital transformation strategies,” says Rohana Meade, CEO of Synergy Technical. “A lot of customers are struggling with where to start, and we knew we could help.” Synergy Technical launches Transformation Accelerator Workshop Taqtile Graduates from 5G Open Innovation Lab Taqtile is one of 14 members of the 5G Open Innovation (OI) Lab first-ever graduating class. Founded by Intel, NASA, and T-Mobile, the project provides access to advanced engineering, technology, and industry resources, with the goal of leveraging the potential of 5G networks. “It has been a momentous month for Taqtile that started with winning the 2020 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award in the Mixed Reality category, and now completing the curriculum at the 5G OI Lab,” said Dirck Schou, CEO of Taqtile. “We are leaders in a new category of software that will fundamentally change the way that industrial enterprises enable workers and ensure operational continuity using spatial computing, the cloud, and modern networking. Participating in the 5G OI Lab has enabled us to make a quantum leap forward in achieving this goal.” New features for BlueJeans Gateway for Microsoft Teams CloudCall integrates with Microsoft Teams CloudCall has developed a first- of-its-kind solution to integrate its communication tools with Microsoft Teams, transforming the way people interact with colleagues and clients. Users can launch CloudCall from within the Teams environment, allowing them to instantly initiate phone calls, SMS or video chats with their contacts, without switching between the two apps. This increases efficiency for users and minimises the risk of valuable data being lost. “CloudCall’s integration with Teams enables effective remote working and provides the confidence that all communications are synched back into the customer relationship management platform,” said Paul Clark, chief technology officer at CloudCall.
