21 MAR K E TWATCH LG Electronics and DXC Luxoft have launched a joint venture, Alluto, aimed at advancing the companies’ shared vision of enabling digital, consumer- grade experiences in automotive. Alluto will look to drive the commercialisation of production-ready digital cockpit, in-vehicle infotainment, passenger-seat entertainment (PSE) and ride-hailing systems based on the webOS Auto platform. The platform offers access to many in-vehicle and connected services to enable original equipment manufacturers to create their own user experience. “DXC Luxoft will lead the deployment of webOS Auto platform in production-ready systems in automotive by contributing its global delivery network and its engineering at-scale delivery organisation,” said Dmitry Loschinin, CEO of Luxoft. LG and DXC Luxoft launch joint venture Alluto Nuance Communications launches healthcare virtual assistant Nuance Communications has launched an artificial intelligence- powered patient engagement virtual assistant platform to transform voice and digital experiences across the patient journey. Combining decades of healthcare expertise with intelligent engagement technology used by 85 per cent of the Fortune 100 companies worldwide, the advanced platform integrates and extends the capabilities of electronic health records, customer relationship management, and patient access centre systems to enable healthcare providers to modernise their digital capabilities and improve clinical care. Software providers Formpipe and BE-terna have partnered for document management solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics 365. BE-terna will integrate the features and functions of Formpipe’s document output solution Lasernet into its own portfolio. Formpipe works with businesses to address challenges associated with managing large quantities of documents. Lasernet enables users to create and distribute documents without the need for programming. “The expertise of Formpipe, the deep integration into the Dynamics 365 platform and the powerful capabilities of Lasernet made this the ideal choice for us to partner with Formpipe and use Lasernet as our focus output management system in our projects,” said Werner Platzgummer, chief technology officer of BE-terna. Formpipe and BE-terna partner for document management Mimecast offers integrations for better security Security firm Mimecast now offers 60 out-of-the-box and custom security and compliance integrations, with security technology partners such as CrowdStrike, IBM Security, Netskope, Palo Alto Networks, Rapid7, ServiceNow and Splunk. “A dramatic increase in the volume and success of phishing, business email compromise and other types of cyberattacks requires organisations to re-evaluate their security controls and processes,” said Jules Martin, vice president of ecosystem and alliances at Mimecast. “The average enterprise organisation has 75 security solutions in its ecosystem, which is difficult to manage efficiently if not integrated.”
