177 PUB L I C S E C TOR “Incremed is a Microsoft Mixed Reality Partner company specialising in medical and certified augmented reality software. Incremed uses mixed reality and machine learning in combination with Microsoft HoloLens 2 and Azure Kinect to revolutionise diagnostics and therapeutic interventions across various disciplines of medicine. Our products include monitoring systems for the sterile field, holographic guidance for orthopaedic surgeries, augmented reality manuals, as well as virtual screen solutions. The application SonoEyes is a holographic ultrasound screen that is compatible with the standard video ports on ultrasound machines. With wi-fi signalling, the video data is streamed onto the HoloLens 2 in real time. Using hand gestures or voice commands, the holographic screen can be manoeuvred in a sterile and customised way, allowing the user to position it right at the site of intervention, for example in biopsies. Not only does this allow better ergonomics for routine practitioners, it enhances hand-eye coordination in novices too.” Dr Till Bay CEO of Incremed “The UK’s NHS trusts needed to rapidly implement Microsoft HoloLens but were struggling with both technical deployment and end user training. Insight developed the Fast Start service, which takes an organisation from unboxing HoloLens through to their first remote assist call, all within just one day. The service was expanded to include design thinking principles to help organisations assess their experience with using HoloLens in their proof of concepts and to create a platform for ideation, to explore how else they could use the technology, identify adoption issues and prioritise their next steps.” Phil Moore Digital Innovation Lead for the Public Sector at Insight
