32 MAR K E TWATCH Healthcare digitisation and technological solutions EVENT REPORT AVEVA celebrates successful PI World conference The AVEVA PI World conference in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, recorded more than 1,500 in-person delegates from around the world, as well as an estimated 1,000 others interacted online. Attendees were given an overview of new developments with industry-leading solutions including industrial cloud platform AVEVA Connect and operations information management solution AVEVA PI System. The conference took place on 16-19 May 2022 and explored how information supports innovation across the industrial ecosystem by enabling the connected industrial economy. AVEVA’s product roadmap for 2022 was revealed at the event. Customers and partners from more than 70 companies, and across 12 industry verticals, shared their experience of the data-led digital transformation at the event. For example, Jacky Wright, chief digital officer at Microsoft, explained how data analytics have supported smart buildings, investments into renewable energy to power data centres, and strategic decisions to pay for the removal of 1.3 million metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. HIMSS22 Europe On 14 to 16 June, the European healthcare community was reunited in Helsinki, Finland, at the 2022 HIMSS European Health Conference & Exhibition. The event invited senior executives, healthcare providers, IT professionals, government officials, consultants and suppliers to share their knowledge and expertise in healthcare digitisation and healthtechnology solutions. Attendees heard from more than 120 international health information and technology experts and were able to take part in more than 60 live sessions. Speakers included representatives from the Finnish, French, German and Dutch governments, as well as national healthcare providers. The conference sessions covered a variety of key themes including digital maturity, data-driven integration, the capitalisation of new funding for digital transformation, digitally empowered workforces, artificial intelligence, person-enabled health and the encouragement of digital health start-ups.
