The firm’s customers will be able to leverage Now Assist’s AI-powered workflows with Copilot to improve productivity and connectivity for employees across their organisation. The integration will be generally available from autumn 2024. “Our work with ServiceNow is so valuable,” said Rajesh Jha, executive vice president of experiences and devices at Microsoft. “The seamless integration of our AI-powered assistants will help usher in improved levels of employee and IT productivity, reduce context switching and ensure easier execution of everyday work tasks, adding to the value of our customers’ technology investments.” Siemens to deliver enhanced PLM with Azure German technology firm Siemens is to make its Siemens Xcelerator as a Service portfolio of industry software available on Microsoft Azure to increase flexibility of choice for its customers and improve product lifecycle management (PLM) for manufacturers. Siemens will deliver its PLM solution, Teamcenter X, on Azure, which will enable organisations to benefit from Microsoft’s AI and security tools. This builds on the launch of the Teamcenter application on Microsoft Teams, which connects frontline workers to colleagues in other departments. Siemens will also develop a Copilot for Microsoft 365 plugin for the Siemens Teamcenter app on Teams to enable workers across the product lifecycle process to track and prioritise their workloads. Tony Hemmelgarn, president and CEO of Siemens Digital Industries Software, revealed the company’s plans with Microsoft at the Siemens 2024 RealizeLIVE event Crestron’s 1 Beyond PTZ cameras are now certified for Microsoft Teams. With Crestron Intelligent Video, users can now leverage this technology in any space to improve their Microsoft Teams Rooms experience with clear and intelligent video. The cameras integrate with Crestron Flex for a one-touch join experience and can be used with up to 12 other cameras equipped with Automate VX for hybrid meetings in large spaces. The 1 Beyond PTZ cameras join Crestron’s already certified products for Teams including the Crestron Flex Pods, which offer wireless microphones and speakers.
