Dominik Tarolli Director, Smart Cities, Esri Cynthia Gomes Senior Industry Consultant, Hexagon Esri leverages AI with geographic information systems (GIS) to empower city leaders to develop sustainable, inclusive and safe urban environments for citizens. By integrating Azure, Esri enables city leaders to harness the power of cloud computing, allowing them to store, analyse and visualise vast amounts of geospatial data. This data-driven approach helps governments to make informed decisions and implement effective strategies to overcome urban challenges with planning and design, while improving services and civic inclusion. For example, leaders in Zurich, Switzerland, have used Esri’s ArcGIS Geospatial Platform to build a digital twin of the city (pictured) to identify how to increase accessibility in buildings and on public transport.
