34 35 MANUFACTURING Fueling transformation Integrated technology solutions provider Gilbarco Veeder-Root (GVR) chose TCS to implement a new sales, contracts and operations solution. When GVR, a global leader in the retail petroleum and commercial fueling industries and an EV charger manufacturer, needed a modern, future-ready solution to run its global sales, contracts, and finance operations, TCS came onboard to help it achieve its goal. Key objectives for GVR were improved systematic processes, enhanced checks and balances, and better assurance of contractual revenue, for its EMEA-based business. TCS implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as an ERP platform, as it would integrate well with the existing landscape at GVR and would also help the global organization maximize its investments in the Microsoft platform. TCS worked with GVR’s Global CIO team to identify Egypt as a suitable pilot site for the Dynamics 365 Business Central cloud rollout, providing system demos to key users. Business process owners and business SMEs were kept engaged throughout and helped the company to define a global template for the solution. Early indicators of the success of the initiative include reduced bookkeeping costs, tighter controls of checks and balances, and 100% accuracy on contract revenues.
